Commercial Law is a branch of law that includes special regulations of the Turkish Law of Obligations. According to Article 1 of the Turkish Commercial Code, the Commercial Code is an integral part of the Turkish Civil Code. Special provisions written in other laws regarding transactions, acts and affairs concerning any commercially operated business are considered commercial provisions. Again, according to the Commercial Code, in commercial matters for which there is no commercial provision, the court decides in accordance with commercial customs and traditions, or if this is not the case, general provisions. Trade partnerships are collective, limited, joint stock, limited and cooperative partnerships. The law regarding documents is grouped under the heading of negotiable instruments.
